1. About these Terms

These Terms govern your access to and use of Velthorn, a platform where players can use learning content and approved creators can offer coaching videos, interactive decisions and structured learning courses. By creating an account or using features that require an account, you agree to these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed.

Velthorn is currently offered as a free beta. Paid Coach Pass subscriptions, payments and creator payouts are not yet live. Descriptions of planned paid features do not constitute an offer to purchase and do not guarantee future pricing, revenue or availability. Separate paid-service terms will apply before payment features are activated.

2. Eligibility and accounts

Minimum ages. Student accounts are intended for people aged 13 or older. Creator applications, Creator Studio access and Creator agreements are limited to people aged 18 or older. Where the law of your country sets a higher age, or requires a parent or legal guardian to agree for you, that rule applies, and you may use Velthorn only with that permission. When registering, you confirm your age with a checkbox (or, for Google sign-up, by continuing). This is a self-declaration, not a verified age check; Velthorn does not collect dates of birth or identity documents.

You must be legally able to use the service and agree to these Terms, with parent or legal guardian involvement where required by applicable law. You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure and not share access in ways that compromise account security. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

We may require verification or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention or legal compliance. Account changes, including email and password changes, use the available secure authentication flows.

3. Learning content and Academy features

Velthorn offers educational materials and practice tools. Coaching advice is contextual, may be affected by game patches or evolving gameplay, and is not a guarantee of improvement, rank gains or esports results. Academy XP, achievements, practice ratings and other indicators are platform features and are not official Riot Games rankings.

Independent creators are responsible for their own statements and uploaded content. Unless explicitly stated, Velthorn does not independently verify every coaching recommendation or require expert review before publication.

4. Free content and restricted content

Materials labelled Free may be accessed as described on the relevant page. Some features, such as saving progress or earning XP, require an account. Draft, private, archived and restricted content may not be accessible to ordinary users. Coach Pass may appear as a planned or preview access tier; no payment-based entitlement is sold through Velthorn at present.

We may correct errors, withdraw unlawfully published material, suspend unavailable videos or reorganize content. Where content is removed, historical progress may remain in the account where legitimate and lawful.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse other users or creators;
• upload or distribute material you lack the right to use, including gameplay footage, music, images or personal information;
• bypass paywalls, authentication, rights checks or access controls;
• introduce malware, scrape private information, overload the service or interfere with its operation;
• manipulate XP, assessment results or creator permissions;
• make deceptive claims about coaching credentials, affiliation with Riot Games or another creator;
• violate applicable law, Riot Games' applicable rules or third-party platform terms.

6. Your content and permissions

You retain rights you hold in content you submit. By uploading or publishing content, you grant Velthorn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as necessary to operate the service and subject to your rights and applicable law, to host, store, transcode, display, transmit and make that content available as instructed by your publication settings. You also permit ordinary technical copies, backups and thumbnails needed to provide the service.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your content and does not grant you any rights in third-party material you do not already have. Separate Creator Terms & Content Guidelines apply when you publish as a creator. Any promotional reuse of your creator content outside normal platform listings should be separately agreed where required.

7. Content reporting, moderation and removal

We may review reports, restrict access to specific content, remove unlawful material or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary. We will consider context and proportionality and may give affected users an opportunity to respond where appropriate. We may preserve relevant information when required to investigate reports or comply with legal obligations.

8. Third-party services and Riot Games

Velthorn is independent and is not endorsed, sponsored or affiliated with Riot Games, Inc. Names, game footage, artwork, other assets and trademarks remain subject to their respective owners' rights. The availability of user-submitted game material on Velthorn does not mean Riot Games has licensed or approved that material.

Videos or links provided by YouTube and other external platforms may be restricted, removed or subject to their own terms, advertising and data practices. Velthorn cannot guarantee third-party playback availability.

9. Availability and changes

Velthorn is offered in beta and may contain bugs, interruptions, incomplete functions or changing features. We may modify the service or discontinue features. Where reasonable, we will provide advance notice of material changes affecting your account or published content.

10. Ending use and account deletion

You may stop using Velthorn at any time. Account deletion is not available in Account Settings. To request deletion, email hello@velthorn.app, preferably from the address registered to your account. We verify the request before processing it; an authorised administrator then carries out the deletion manually using Velthorn's internal deletion procedure. Deletion is not automatic, and not every copy is removed immediately: certain rights evidence and publication attribution may remain while associated content is published, and provider backups and logs are removed according to their own cycles. The Privacy Policy explains which records are removed and which may remain. Deletion of a creator's published materials, shared media or records linked to learners may be subject to technical dependencies, applicable law and legitimate retention needs. We will explain significant restrictions where relevant.

We may suspend or terminate access for serious violations, abuse, security risks or legal requirements, with notice where appropriate and lawful.

11. Responsibility and liability

We take reasonable care in operating Velthorn. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, accuracy of third-party coaching or achievement of specific game outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence where prohibited by mandatory law, or mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights applicable to consumers and other users. Before starting formal proceedings, you may contact us at hello@velthorn.app so we can try to resolve the issue. This clause does not deprive users of mandatory rights to bring proceedings before a competent court or authority.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect legal requirements and changes to the service. Material updates will be communicated as appropriate. Continued use following a valid update may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law; additional consent will be obtained where required.
